Deleting a file syncs the deletion, so it disappears from every device. The recycle bin is where deleted files wait, and where you get one back.
Open it
Section titled “Open it”Settings → Courier → Recycle bin → View. One row per deleted file, with when it was deleted and which device deleted it. Click a row to see the content the deletion removed.
Restore a file
Section titled “Restore a file”- Click the file and check the content.
- Click Restore. The file comes back at its original path and syncs to your other devices.
If another file has taken that path, Courier does not overwrite it: it asks for a name, pre-filled
with the original name plus -1, and keeps the folder.
Empty it
Section titled “Empty it”Clear recycle bin permanently deletes every listed file and its version history, and frees the space. This cannot be undone.
When a file cannot be restored
Section titled “When a file cannot be restored”An account with a retention window loses versions after it. A deleted file whose versions are gone stays in the list with a warning and cannot be restored.
The recycle bin is read with the vault password, so while sync is paused it asks you to resume and unlock first.
