The sync history is what this device did during this Obsidian session: what it sent, what it received, and what it left alone because of a setting. It is the first place to look when a file did not arrive.
Settings → Courier → Sync history → View. It updates by itself while it is open.
Reading a row
Section titled “Reading a row”One row is one file: an arrow for the direction, the file’s name, the time, the device, then the action (created, modified, renamed, deleted, restored).
- Green arrow up — this device sent it.
- Blue arrow down — it came from another device.
- Neutral arrow — the device could not be told apart, for example when both still carry the default device name.
Rows that say it was skipped
Section titled “Rows that say it was skipped”Some rows are not a transfer but the reason there was none, for example Not sent: the folder is excluded or Not applied here: larger than this account’s size limit. The reason is the setting as it was at that moment; changing the setting later does not rewrite a past row.
This run only
Section titled “This run only”The list lives in memory: reloading the plugin or restarting Obsidian starts it empty. Earlier changes are still on the server — an old version of a file is in its version history, and a deleted file is in the recycle bin.
